...I won't give up on this life. So don't give up either. Kim dokja, there is only one chance. BACKGROUND[TW: Murder, Death, Etc. Please be advised that there's a lot of triggering content in Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint.] Wiki Link (Contains heavy spoilers for the entire novel) TBU PERSONALITYTBU ABILITIESEXTRA[Copied directly from the wiki] Kim Dokja often refers to Yoo Joonghyuk as a sunfish. This is likely a reference to the game "Survive! Mola Mola" (mola mola is another name for a sunfish). In the game, you have to keep a sunfish alive and escape the dangers of the sea. However, the sunfish dies because of almost anything and one must start over many times in order to get anywhere; this parallels how Yoo Joonghyuk needed over a thousand rounds in order to even approach a conclusive end to the scenarios, and how he died very easily particularly in the early rounds. |

❖ Abilities & Skills ❖
Regression: Allowed to send his consciousness back in time while keeping his memories in tact. [This ability is not applicable due to the nature of the ability and his refusal to use it any longer. It's also tied to his Sponsor as a Stigma, so he would lose access to it.]
Transmission: A stigma that lets him slowly regain his abilities and skills from previous regressions over time. [Not applicable as he likely has nothing to gain from previous regressions from his canon point. It's also tied to his Sponsor as a Stigma, so he would lose access to it.]
Cold Resistance: Resistance towards freezing cold.
Heat Resistance: Resistance towards sweltering heat.
Sage's Eye: Able to view another individual's attribute window. [Not applicable outside of canon.]

Breaking the Sky Meteor: Launches weapon into the sky (described as stabbing the sky like a thunderbolt) and able to cause thunderbolts to fall from the sky and pierce his enemies. Requires a lot of concentration and energy to utilize and only accessible because of his transcendence status. Needs time to utilize and probably will be incapacitated or greatly exhausted after use.
Hibernation: Able to recover from injuries over a period of time. As noted by the name, Yoo Joonghyuk goes to sleep/becomes vulnerable while utilizing this skill.
Red Phoenix Shunpo: A skill that greatly increases the user's speed when activated. Can be used in short spurts.
Air Steps: A skill where user can walk on air as though making steps they can traverse on.

Backtagging: Always. I'll try to tie up threads, but I understand real life happens and might make threads slowdown/take longer.
Threadhopping: I don't really mind, but please confirm if it's an issue with either of us first.
Offensive Subjects: No real triggers, but weed talk makes me uncomfortable.
Death/Dissipation: :) I'm into it. Please discuss first though.
Physical Affection: One can try, but please don't expect much in return.
Shipping/Sex: I'm personally interested, but it would require a lot of work. Canonically, Joonghyuk is said to dislike people succumbing to carnal pleasure. That being said, he had a wife and kid. It'll be a slowburn with his emotional state.
Mental/Communion: Sure! Please just let me know beforehand.
Offensive Subjects: Haha. Try him.

NAME: Yoo Joonghyuk
CANON: Omniscient Reader
CANON POINT: Chapter 304
AGE: 31
SPECIES: Human
INFORMATION: Wiki
CHARACTER PITCH:
While not the main character of the canon itself, he is the protagonist/main character of the novel that the main character had followed for ten years of his life. A novel that becomes a reality that the main character, Yoo Joonghyuk, and their companions experience throughout the canon. Joonghyuk is constantly noted as being a protagonist, from his good looks to his ability to grow stronger and surpass everyone else. He's a regressor who basically goes through countless turns with a single goal to reach the end of the scenarios. As he continues to regress over and over, it's noted that he slowly becomes more cold and merciless; likely steeling his heart and losing his humanity as he goes through tragedy after tragedy (the main character calls him a psychopath early on in the canon).
Yoo Joonghyuk is seen as a lone wolf character. Because he's a regressor, when he regresses, he retains all his memories but everyone else does not. He grows to keep people at arm's length to soften the blow of being forgotten each time he regresses. Befitting his role, he's incredibly strong and single-mindedly strives forward to break limits to be able to fight even Constellations to bring them on the same level as Incarnations/humans. He's basically your apocalypse surviving protagonist who can regress, so they get to have the trauma of regressing AND the trauma of getting through an apocalypse (multiple times).
POWERS:
(Yoo Joonghyuk has an extensive ability/skill list with some never really talked about or used within the canon. Listed are what he has actually used and skills mentioned that weren't used are being ignored.)

What is the worst or most malicious thing your character has ever done? How do they feel about it now? Was this sort of action typical of them?
The worst thing Joonghyuk has probably done is kill people. He probably doesn't think too heavily about it due to the nature of the scenarios forcing people to kill for the sake of survival. The addition to being a regressor and going through the same scenario (and thus killing the same people) over and over has also desensitized him of his actions. He sees it as an unfortunate, but necessary, action to continue with his goal. Killing others is just something he has grown used to doing and is typical of him.
What is the most altruistic or selfless thing your character has ever done? How do they feel about it now? Was this sort of action typical of them?
While never managing to go through with it, Yoo Joonghyuk has offered his life up more than a few times. Each time he had, it was with the intention of sacrificing one person to save the lives of many. The actual reason he didn't manage to go through with it wasn't him changing his mind, but because the main character prevents him from doing so. Yoo Joonghyuk isn't someone who regrets his choices and likely would offer up himself again due to the nature of being a regressor. For him, he doesn't see a need for someone else to die because he won't truly die and regress instead. The turn he leaves behind will continue forward regardless if he's present in that turn. While he seems to consider calculated risks and doesn't seem like the type to throw his life away irresponsibly; he is actually rather selfless.
What do they desire above all else? How far would they go to accomplish their goals or fulfill those desires? Do they have lines they wouldn't cross?
Yoo Joonghyuk's single goal is to reach the end of the scenarios, even if he doesn't know what will be at the end. It's seen that he will go whatever lengths to get there; be it to regress thousands of times, kill countless people, or to transcend human limits to have the power to contend with gods basically. There doesn't seem to be anything that he wouldn't do to achieve his goals. Anything is on the table.
LEGACY:
The Champion:
Yoo Joonghyuk's main goal within his canon was to reach the end of all the scenarios. He's considered the protagonist and was a person whom was looked at by others as a leader, a pillar of support, and a hero. While Joonghyuk isn't exactly conventional as a hero and has no qualms killing others, he seeks to avoid the full destruction of the world that is brought by the scenarios forced on Seoul (and later the world). His dislike of being playthings and amusement for higher beings has him honing his skills to be strong enough to defeat them despite being human.
INTRODUCTORY SECT:
Pleroma:
Pleroma suits Joonghyuk in a multitude of ways from his strive to prevent the end of the world and to push forward to the fact that he's a regressor and is someone who continues forward and sees no end. He's also described an idealist despite his temperament.
SUITABILITY:
Yoo Joonghyuk basically lived to go through the scenarios and fight. I think he'll easily fall into the same mindset that he did in canon, but I'm interested in growing his character arc where he can open up and trust people again. Instead of standing as a single entity on his own, he can find equal footing with others. I'm interested in seeing him handle Aion with a healthier mindset than what he had to do in canon and also tackle what canon had done to him and heal.
I think the setting having parallels to his experiences will help a lot in being able to make comparisons to how he had to handle things in canon and how things are different in Aion.
